The Association was founded in 1990 as the Association for Medical Laboratory Technologists in Namibia and subsequently renamed to Namibia Association of Medical Laboratory Science (NAMLS) in 2012. NAMLS aims to provide leadership in the clinical laboratory industry, supporting laboratory professionals at all stages in their career. NAMLS plays a vital leadership role in enhancing the image and increasing the visibility of the laboratory medicine profession.
